At Keweenaw Co+op, we believe in the power of community. Our Round UP and Bring-a-Bag programs are designed to support local organizations that make a difference in Baraga, Gogebic, Ontonagon, Houghton, and Keweenaw Counties. Whether through customer donations at checkout or sustainability efforts with reusable bags, these programs help fund impactful initiatives right here at home.

Round UP Program

Our Round UP program allows customers to round up their purchases at the register, with 100% of the collected funds going directly to a selected local organization & the Western UP Food Bank. Unlike Bring-a-Bag, Round UP does not require 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, making it accessible to a broader range of groups.

Key Details:

  • One organization is selected per quarter.
  • Funds are collected for three-month periods:
    • January–March
    • April–June
    • July–September
    • October–December
  • Organizations can only be selected for one funding program in a two-year period to allow more groups to benefit.
  • Organizations must be based in Baraga, Gogebic, Ontonagon, Houghton, or Keweenaw Counties.
  • Applications are reviewed annually, and recipients are chosen by our Operations Team.
