What Does a Board Member Do?
Board members play an essential role in guiding our co-op’s strategic direction. They:
- Attend monthly meetings.
- Collaborate on setting long-term goals.
- Ensure community engagement and feedback.
- Contribute to financial oversight and planning.
Board Candidate Orientation Session
Interested in joining the Board? We’re hosting an Orientation Session via Zoom on Tuesday, January 21st from 6p-7p where prospective board members can learn about the co-op and what the role entails. This session will be recorded for those who cannot attend live.

How to Get Started
- Email contactboard@keweenaw.coop to express your interest any time during the year.
- Attend at least one board meeting.
- Attend an orientation session.
- Complete the required paperwork to become an official candidate.
