We’re thrilled to introduce Claire and Matthew Troemner of Troemner Family Farm, a shining example of passion, creativity, and community dedication.
For the Troemners, food is truly a labor of love. They thrive on working with ingredients in their simplest, freshest, and purest form, constantly challenging themselves to refine their growing, cooking, and baking techniques. Their approach to food is more than just work—it’s a sensory experience, an expression of care, and, above all, a connection to their craft.
The farm operates with a unique philosophy: “engineers by trade, farmers by heart.” Every aspect of their operation is treated like a finely tuned system—repurposing resources and optimizing logistics. The result is high-quality produce and artisan goods that are as thoughtfully made as they are delicious.
Beyond their dedication to food, Troemner Family Farm believes in fostering accessibility. They’ve become passionate about providing artisan foods for all, partnering with local organizations and pantries to donate products made possible by their charitable customers. This spirit of giving back makes their work even more meaningful.
We’re so grateful to have Troemner Family Farm as part of our co-op community—a supportive, fun, and one-of-a-kind network of foodies, farmers, and makers. You can find their Pfeffernüsse Cookies at our co-op! These delightful spiced cookies are a perfect way to savor the holiday season while supporting a local producer. Be sure to grab a bag during your next visit!

Our co-op utilizes the Policy Governance Ⓡ Model to clearly distinguish between the governance responsibilities of the board and the operational management responsibilities of the General Manager (GM). The board delegates operational responsibilities to the GM who has sole responsibility for them. For more about how the Board supervises the General Manager through policy, see our Governing Policies Page
Our staff work to keep the store running smoothly and ensure our community has access to high-quality food. We strive to offer a wide range of local, organic, and environmentally friendly products to support healthy and sustainable living. We’re here to support you on your journey towards a more conscious and delicious lifestyle.
As Shoppers, Owners relate directly to the staff team who are responsible for store operations. As voting Members, Owners elect the Board of Directors who, in turn, hires and supervises the General Manager (GM).
The Board of Directors hires and supervises just one operational employee: the General Manager. All subsequent staff supervision is fully delegated to the General Manager, who has sole discretion over all subsequent operational decisions.
