Celebrate Community at Key Ingredients – July 18th in Downtown Hancock!

Downtown Hancock is heating up with summer fun! Key Ingredients returns on Thursday, July 18th, and Keweenaw Co+op is excited to join in the festivities alongside our friends at Breakwater Federal Credit Union.

This lively street festival welcomes locals and visitors alike with live music, food samples from local businesses, and family-friendly activities up and down Quincy Street (which will close at 5:00 PM for the event). At the co-op, we’ll be celebrating the International Year of Cooperatives with fun for all ages — including:

  • 🧠 Financial trivia + prizes from Breakwater

  • 🍧 Freeze pops and goodies from the co-op

  • 🎈 Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, tattoos, and bag toss games to keep the good vibes going

  • 🎶 Live music in our parking lot

Come out to support local businesses, enjoy great food and music, and celebrate what makes our community special. We’ll see you there — everyone welcome! 💚

As Shoppers, Owners relate directly to the staff team who are responsible for store operations. As voting Members, Owners elect the Board of Directors who, in turn, hires and supervises the General Manager (GM).

The Board of Directors hires and supervises just one operational employee: the General Manager. All subsequent staff supervision is fully delegated to the General Manager, who has sole discretion over all subsequent operational decisions.
